George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man was pinned to the ground by a white police officer and the officer kneeled on his neck as he gasped for breath. This incident spiked mass protests in several parts of the world. Although the incident happened in America, the people all over the world fumed over this tragic incident. After the incident, the officer who pinned George to ground was charged with third-degree murder.
In the wake of this, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella took to twitter for asserting that empathy.
"There is no place for hate and racism in our society. Empathy and shared understanding are a start, but we must do more. I stand with the Black and African American community and we are committed to building on this work in our company and in our communities," Nadella said in a tweet on Monday.
