The entire world faced an unexpected crisis in the form of a Covid outbreak. The highly contagious disease had created havoc in many nations across the globe. Compared to the other nations, the United States had a devastating impact with Covid as the health sector went for a toss.

Even after facing as many as two deadly Covid waves, the United States is not having a good time with the Coronavirus as the cases are on a spree of increasing. One of the states in the United States has been seeing a steady growth in the fresh infections caused by Covid.

The information shared by the local United States media says that fresh Coronavirus cases are on the rise in New York State and the BA.2 variant is believed to be the driving force of the covid spread in the state. The average of cases has also gone up.

In particular, Central New York is seeing more and more cases and the region is the major contributor to the cases that are reported from the state. As a result, the average number of fresh cases in a week has increased a lot.

The average of cases was recorded at around 17.8 on Sunday. Two weeks back, the same percentage was recorded at 8.3. The average had doubled by around two times which is concerning.

With the cases increasing steadily, the authorities have also increased the testing numbers to detect Covid infections. This in turn resulted in the average of Covid detection tests going up.

The BA.2 variant which is also called "stealth omicron" is spreading its wings across the nation leaving many states fearful of the virus spreading. Besides New York, a handful of other states are also facing the wrath of the virus. The data collected by Johns Hopkins University said that the likes of Arizona, New Jersey, Maine, Delaware, Georgia, and a few other states are also seeing a rise in Covid infections.

The United States is one of the nations that have allowed people to take the second booster dose if needed. The shots will be given to people who are above 50. For their convenience, the Joe Biden Administration had made arrangements so that the doses would reach the doorstep of the beneficiaries.
