No review of Nagarjunasagar defeat in Congress
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Jun 2021 3:09 AM GMTNormally, any political party reviews its electoral defeats and tries to understand the causes for the poll debacle. But, the Congress Party appears to be different. After veteran leader Jana Reddy's defeat in Nagarjunasagar byelection, the party did not conduct even a single review to understand why the people have not voted for it.
Interestingly, when senior leader and BC face V Hanumanth Rao wanted to address the media on this issue, the party leadership told him not to hold a press conference in Gandhi Bhavan. This was revealed by none other than VH himself. VH had in fact spoken to Jana Reddy and discussed about Nagarjunasagar. But officially, there has been no review meeting till now. VH and other leaders are demanding that the party should discuss the internal issues first and then constitute the PCC.
Several Congress leaders are also questioning the high command over the delay in announcing the new PCC for Telangana. They say that while the high command has announced a new PCC for Kerala immediately after the elections, it has not done anything in Telangana since 2018.
