Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has withdrawn a big promise he made to the Farmers. It's known that TRS Supremo decided to introduce a special budget for Agriculture apart from State Budget 2018-19. Now, State Government has officially declared this promise isn't going to be fulfilled.

Reportedly, CM KCR conducted a review meeting on State Budget and the proposed Agriculture Budget. Minister Harish Rao, Etela Rajender, Mahender Reddy, Thummala Nageswara Rao, Chief Whips and Officials took part in the meeting. It's then Officials informed CM that Constitution doesn't permit separate department-wise budget and there can only be one single budget. They added, 'As per Rule No.150 of Assembly Guidelines, Expenditure alone comes under Budget. Plans, Programmes and Schemes will comes under Bills. There can't be a separate budget. Decision to present Separate Agriculture Budget once before bifurcation stirred a controversy and it was withdrawn. Even Railway Budget is now combined with Union Budget'.

After the review meeting, KCR announced the withdrawal of decision to introduce separate Agriculture Budget. He, however, made it clear priority would be given to Agriculture Sector in the State Budget 2018-19.
