Since the day Narendra Modi took complete control of BJP, Veterans in the party have been finding it really difficult to survive. It all began with the implementation of 'No 75-Plus' rule in the Cabinet. The whole country had witnessed how LK Advani was sidelined in the party.
And now, Venkaiah Naidu and Bandaru Dattatreya have been the latest victims. While Venkaiah faced accusations of not allowing BJP to flourish in AP and began supporting Chandrababu Naidu in every manner he can, Dattatreya was sacked from Cabinet on the basis of performance. Out of the two, Venkaiah Naidu was given send off in a respectable manner with the offer of Vice President.
Nirmala Sitharaman elevation as Defense Minister is being appreciated unanimously though her husband Parakala Prabhakar is AP Government's Adviser. Having clean image and efficiency worked in the favour of this Woman Leader. She didn't entertain AP Government much although many attempts were made to enter into her good books.
