The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) had put up a stunning show in the recently held MLC elections. The vote counting started earlier today as per the schedule. The political outfit which is in power had reached the expectations and stood up to the predictions made by the political analysts and observers.

Six out of six candidates who contested the Member of the Legislative Council(MLC) elections in the state have emerged victorious in the polls by sweeping the local body elections. The ruling party candidates have been leading the elections in the vote-counting from the very first round.

Having received a stunning start, the TRS candidates took forward the lead they got in the first round and emerged victorious in the elections by the end of the vote counting. The TRS cadre and party activists are on cloud nine with the election result and celebrating the election verdict in a big way.

As the TRS leaders have crushed their opponents and won the elections with a supermajority, the officials of the Election Commission are likely to give an official statement on the election result today.

Two MLC seats in Karimnagar, followed by one seat each in Adilabad, Medak, Khammam, and Nalgonda went for the polls on the 10th of this month. The other parties like Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party have extended their support to the independent candidates and the TRS rebels. However, their support could not make any difference.

In total, 12 MLC seats went for the elections. However, the TRS party had won six elections unanimously and the elections were held for the remaining six positions. The election win for the candidates that contested the local body elections under the TRS name was so big that they attracted more than 50 percent of the votes.

DandeVithal(Adilabad),L.Ramana(Karimnagar),T.Bhanuprasad(Karimanagar),MC Kotireddy(Nalgonda), V Yadava Reddy( Medak), Tata Madhusudan( Khammam) are the winning horses in the elections.

26 candidates have tried their luck in the elections and more than 5,000 voters have used their right to vote in the polls. More than 91 percent poll percentage was recorded. The election was in the news earlier as the political parties have reportedly conducted camps for the voters.
