No TRS Plenary For Second Year Running
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 April 2020 7:04 AM GMTThe ruling TRS would go down in the history as the only party that has failed to hold its plenary for the second consecutive year. Last year, it could not conduct its plenary as the general elections were being held. In view of the election code, the party deferred its plenary in 2019. This year too, Corona crisis is all set to play spoilsport with the TRS.
The party plenary is all set to be deferred due to the Corona crisis. The plenary is to be held in April. Since, it could hold the plenary last year, the party wanted to organize the same amid much fanfare this year. But now, the party leadership is said to have already decided not to hold the plenary. Even the party foundation day would be celebrated in a simple manner. No big meetings and huge gatherings are going to be organized on the day. Interestingly, ever since KTR took over as the working president of the party, the plenary could not be held.
Interestingly, the party wanted to inaugurate its district party office buildings across the state on Ugadi Day. Even that had to be cancelled in view of the Corona virus spread. The party workers are now engaged in providing relief to the general public.
