No Vacancy for CM Post in Tamil Nadu: Centre
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Feb 2017 10:29 AM GMTUnion Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu declares there is no vacancy for Chief Minister's post in Tamil Nadu as there is already a Government led by CM O Panneerselvam. He reminded O Panneerselvam was choosen as CM by Jayalalithaa twice and AIADMK MLAs themselves elected him as CM after her death. He went on to say BJP has no role in either O Panneerselvam's resignation or his revolt.
Venkaiah Naidu made it clear BJP isn't preparing any ground to form government in Tamil Nadu. He questioned, 'How can the saffron party form government when it doesn't have a single MLA in the Assembly? It's up to Tamil Nadu CM & AIADMK General Secretary to decide the future. Criticism on BJP is unfair'.
The Union Minister told Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao has been discharging his duties in an impartial manner. He found fault with Sasikala for blaming Governor for the delay in her swearing-in ceremony. He also clarified Governor is trying to ensure that there is a stable government in Tamil Nadu.
