By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Aug 2017 5:14 AM GMTJudicial Commission set up to probe the suicide of Hyderabad Central University PhD Scholar Rohith Vemula submitted it's report.
The Commission headed by former Allahabad High Court Judge AK Roopanwal reached the conclusion that frustration, loneliness and being unappreciated drove the Scholar to take the extreme step. Report says Rohith Vemula wasn't a Dalit and he committed suicide out of frustration over personal reasons.
In the report it's been mentioned that Rohit Vemula didn't blame anybody in his suicide note. It was also written that he was lonely and was a troubled individual since childhood.
Clean chit has been given to Union Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya and Smriti Irani by the Judicial Commission. The report says Rohith would have clearly mentioned in his suicide note had if University or any individuals was responsible for the extreme step.
Rohith Vemula committed suicide on January 18th last year while holding protest against suspension of him and four other students from Hostel. Family Members, Friends and Opposition Parties blamed Centre for his death and several protests have been staged. Following which, A Judicial Inquiry was ordered by the Centre
