This MLA's Plans To Promote Son Backfire

Communist-turned-TRS MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah may be a political giant killer but it appears the rumour mill is way too stronger than him. His attempts to promote his son as his political heir have actually sent the most unlikely signals to the party leaders and the general public.
After getting elected from Nagarjunasagar after defeating Congress biggie Jana Reddy, Narsimhaiah started grooming his son Bhagat. He started giving importance to Bhagat and made his give speeches on party forums. He also asked Bhagat to directly reach out to the people in the constituency. Nomula perhaps thought that he could make his son the TRS candidate in 2013 and retire gracefully.
But, it sent the exactly opposite signals. The TRS leaders and the political rivals felt that Nomula Narsimhaiah was terminally ill and was unable to take an active part. So, rumours began flying thick and fast. Even the Opposition started fuelling these remarks. Soon it became a hot topic of debate in Nagarjuna Sagar. Now, Nomula too has got wind of these rumours. He had to issue denials and say that he was hale and healthy.
Meanwhile, several seniors took strong objection to Bhagat's interference in party matters. They also found his demeanor too problematic. Some leaders have preferred not to talk to him. Realising all this, Nomula is now on a course correction mode.
