North-Eastern States Protest Opposing The Citizenship Bill

The bill has inculcated fear in the protestors as it might change the demographic status of various states with people belonging to various cultures and language will get Indian citizenship.
The North-East states are staging protests opposing the Bangladeshi immigrants. The students are leading the protests in Assam opposing the bill.
With the protestors setting ablaze a vehicle at a busy road in Guwahati, the situations escalated fastly. Keeping this in mind the Centre has deployed the Army personnel in Assam and Tripura.
On Wednesday evening, the Internet was suspended across the Assam state for 24 hours along with a Curfew.
The bill states about granting citizenship for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, Christians, and Sikhs, who fled religious persecution in our neighboring countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan who moved to India before 31st of December 2014.
