Rats Destroyed Rs 12 Lakh In ATM

SBI called Technicians to fix the ATM on June 11th and that's how bank officials came to know about the damage. Several notes in denominations of Rs 2000 and Rs 500 in worse condition were identified after the ATM was cracked open. The total damage is to the tune of Rs 12.38 lakh. Pictures of the shredded notes inside ATM have gone viral on social media.
A Guwahati-based Financial Firm 'FIS' operated the ATM. It had deposited Rs 29 lakh cash in the Machine on May 19th. Bank Officials raised suspicion over the damage happened. Police Complaint has been registered already. Why did SBI waited for so long to fix an ATM?
