Now, anti-Revanth group holding separate SC, ST rallies
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Aug 2021 6:50 AM GMTRevanth Reddy may have brought in a new flush of enthusiasm in the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. But, his problems seem to be far from being over. Virtual non-cooperation from senior leaders is continuing. What is more irksome for the party high command is the fact that the Congress seniors are now trying to organise SC and ST Atma Gouravam (self-respect) meetings in their constituencies without inviting Revanth Reddy.
It now emerges that both Uttam Kumar Reddy and KOmatireddy Venkat Reddy are planning to organise Atma Gouravam conclaves in their constituencies. They will be the chief speakers and there may not be any invitation to Revanth Reddy. Komatireddy has already organised one such meeting in Dandu Malkapur of Ibrahimpatnam constituency. He took out a rally and addressed the gathering. Sources said he is planning to have more such meetings.
At the same time, party's working president Turpu Jagga Reddy too is confining himself to the constituency. He even wrote a letter to the High Command stating that he will give 10 days for the party organisational work and 20 to his constituency. This clearly shows that Jagga Reddy is trying to avoid working with Revanth Reddy.
Meanwhile, the party national leaders KC Venugopal and Manickam Tagore have kept a tab on the developments in the Telangana Congress. KC Venugopal recently spoke to Komatireddy, following which there was some normalisation of the relationship between Komatireddy and Revanth Reddy. They are said to be in touch over the phone. But they are unable to work together as yet. With all these developments, the enthusiasm among the youth and the party supporters is not getting translated into votes.
