Now Hookahs On Wheels For Old City Youths

Some ingenious cool dudes have devised a novel way to circumvent the Hookah parlour ban in Hyderabad. They have developed what could be terned as a "hookah on wheels" and are taking it to where the customers are. This ingenious yet illicit hookah set up was busted by the city police on Friday.
The city police have banned hookah parlours and have been cracking down heavily on them in most parts of the city. However, two enterprising youths from Machili Kaman in the Old City - Ali and Abdul Karim - have arranged small enclosures containing hookah pots, different flavours and other material inside an Omni van and have begun taking it to the lanes and bylanes of the Old City. They have also begun selling hookah setup to those interested. Both Ali and Karim used to run a hookah parlour before they were banned. On knowing about this, the police swooped down on them and arrested them.
Sources said that the hookah on wheels goes only to the trusted old customers and does not go to unrecommended contacts. They are also known to set up hookah pots at the residences of their customers.
