NTR Daughter bids goodbye to Congress
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Feb 2014 1:56 PM GMTIn response to the passage of Telangana Bill in Lok Sabha against the will of the Seemandhra people, Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari on Tuesday submitted his resignation which include Congress membership and Ministry to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi.
Purandeswari and other Seemandhra Union Ministers demanded 10 Amendments to T-Bill. However, Centre didn't pay heed to any of their appeals and gone ahead with the bifurcation which would do great injustice to the Seemandhra region which played crucial role in bring back UPA to power twice (2004, 2009).
Few days ago, Purandeswari claimed she isn't an opportunist to look at other parties when asked if she is joining either YSR Congress or BJP. The most efficient Parliamentarian also announced that she willn't be contesting 2014 polls even if the T-Bill wasn't passed in this session citing Congress is in a bad position in Seemandhra due to the stand taken by it in the T-issue.
Post the resignation to Congress, Purandeswari is yet to announce her future coarse of action. What would be her next step?
