NTR's silence on TDP foundation day irks party rank and file

The TDP has just completed 40 years of its founding. Everyone congratulated the party and its leaders. Even those who were associated with the party in the past have greeted the occasion.
But, one person was completely silent and did not greet the party on the occasion. The person in question is actor and late NTR's grandson Junior NTR.
The buzz in the Telugu Desam Party circles and the grassroots is about Junior NTR and his silence on the TDP foundation day. The workers are wondering why NTR did not even issue a statement on the day.
In fact, he played a stellar role in the 2009 election campaign and has appealed to the voters to vote for the TDP even while being confined to the hospital bed.
In fact, at the grassroots level there is a concerted demand for bringing back Junior NTR into the TDP politics. The demand has come from even places like Kuppam, which is the citadel of Chandrababu Naidu.
In several party meetings, the demand has come from the party cadres. A section strongly believes that NTR can revive the sagging fortunes of the TDP. But, despite all that, NTR remained silent on the foundation day.
NTR has been lukewarm towards the TDP ever since the 2009 election. Even when the likes of Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi made abusive comments on Chandrababu Naidu's wife Nara Bhuvaneswari, NTR's reaction was quite muted.
He just released a video slamming the comments and kept quiet. The latest incidence of studied silence on the part of NTR has not gone down well with the TDP rank and file.
