As per China-based Hurun Report, India lost about 11 billionaires after Demonetisation and have altogether 132 super-rich individuals at present. At the same time, The collective wealth of Ultra Rich increased by 16 percent when compared to last year's statistics.

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani continues to be Richest Indian with a fortune of Rs 175,400 crore ($26 billion). He is ranked 28th in the World.

Hinduja Group Chairman SP Hinduja & Family holds second spot with a net worth of Rs 101,000 crore ($14 billion). Sun Pharmaceuticals Founder Dilip Shanghvi is at No.3 with a wealth of Rs 99,000 crore. Indian construction tycoon Pallonji Mistry (Rs 82,700 crore) and Arcelor Mittal chairman Lakshmi Mittal (Rs 81,800 crore) are at 4th & 5th Positions respectively.

Shiv Nadar (Rs 81,200 crore), S Poonawalla (Rs 75,400 crore), Azim Premji (Rs 66,300 crore), Uday Kotak and Rueben Brothers (Rs 45,600) occupy 6th to 10th Spots in the richest Indians list.

Mumbai leads in terms of State with Highest Number of Billionaires in India. Delhi, Gujarat and Karnataka were placed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots.

Interestingly, Biocon MD Kiran Mazumdar has been named as the only person who has made it big on his own sans any background.
