Survey: Internet Users In India

The number of Internet users is to cross 5 Million (50 Crores) as of 2018 surveys. This survey was done based on 170 cities and 750 towns and villages in India. Most of the users contribute from these 170 urban areas. The cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata have the highest number of users, while Fathehpur, Imphal contribute the least number of internet users.
35% of the internet users contribute from the urban areas and cities. In small metro cities and the other cities, the internet usage is less than the national average usage as per the survey.
Internet and Mobile Association of India, Kanthar IARB has unveiled this report as 'Internet In India 2017'. This survey mentions that from 2016-2017 December the internet usage in urban areas is increased by 9.66% to 295 Million users. On the other hand, 2016-2017 December survey in rural areas states that the internet usage has increased by 14.11% to 186 million users.​
