Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam claims he is still the Treasurer of AIADMK and nobody have the authority to sack him from any party post. He also wrote separate letters to two banks not to permit anyone else other than him to operate party accounts.

In the letters address to Chief Managers of Karur Vysya Bank and Bank of Indiia, Panneerselvam wrote: 'In accordance with Bye law 20, sub-clause 5 in the party constitution in continuance of my appointment as treasurer of AIADMK party by puratchi thalaivi amma, I request you not to permit anyone else to operate our AIADMK party's current account without my written consent and instructions'.

Panneerselvam further added Sasikala Natarajan's appointment as AIADMK General Secretary is unacceptable. He stressed party's general secretary shall be elected only by the primary members as per Rule 20 sub clause 2 in the party constitution.
