Former US President Barack Obama faulted Donald Trump's Immigration ban in his first public statement after leaving the White House.

In the statement issued by his spokesperson Kevin Lewis, Obama supports the protests against the travel ban saying there is nothing wrong about it when American values are at stake.

Donald Trump, however, rubbished the allegations of Muslims become his target. 'While there were 40 Muslim-majority Nations, Ban was imposed only on 7 of them. Majority of the Muslims are unaffected by the ban,' he says.

Defending his Executive Order, Trump questioned, 'Where was all the outrage from Democrats and the opposition party (the media) when our jobs were fleeing our country?'. Stating the reason behind overnight ban, He says the 'bad' would rush into US by that time if ban was announced with a one week notice. He further adds, 'Only 109 out of 325,000 people were detained so far'.

Trump alleges Democrats has been delaying his Cabinet picks for purely political reasons. He made this statement after sacking Attorney General for defying his executive order on travel ban.
