Officials Rubbishes Rumors Of Red Zones In Telangana

Following the rise of the positive cases of the novel coronavirus, many media reports erupted that the Telangana government has identified some hotspots of spreading the virus and termed those areas as Red zones and these areas will be under strict lockdown.
The same news was circulated in social media too raising more concerns and fear among the public.
As per the media reports, Chandanagar, Kokapet, Turkayamjal, Kothapet, and few other areas were declared as the red zones by the Telangana government.
Following this, GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar has stepped in and made it clear that no zones were identified by the authorities so far and urged the public to not believe such false rumors.
Ranga Reddy District Collector Amoy Kumar and Hyderabad District Collector Swetha Mohanty also maintained the same voice on these false rumors and went on to say that those who circulate these sorts of rumors will be taken into custody.
