By: Tupaki Desk | 12 March 2021 10:54 AM GMTToday marks the 10th anniversary of the ruling YSRCP founded by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. In the decade-long period, YS Jagan went through a roller coaster ride and stood against all odds to make it to the government.
On the occasion, YS Jagan took to the microblogging site Twitter to remember his journey. Jagan said the party was founded on the foundation of Values are reliability to achieve Great Leader's ambition.
CM Jagan thanked the public who stood with him in his highs and lows and thanked the party activists and leaders who were with him in the decade-long period. He tweeted in Telugu.
Jagan launched his Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in 2011 after he had issues with the then Congress party after the tragic demise of his father. His party was launched in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
After the state was formed, he shifted his focus to AP and went for the general elections, the first elections after the state bifurcation. He lost the elections with the TDP registering a landslide victory.
In the 2019 general elections, Jagan crushed the TDP and claimed a resounding victory with 151 seats, restricting the TDP to a mere 23 MLS seats.
