One more Volvo bus catches fire , 7 killed

Journey in Volvo buses is turning as nightmare and here is one more tragic incident took place last night.Seven passengers were charred to death when a Mumbai-bound bus from Bangalore caught fire after hitting a road divider near Kunimelli bridge, in the early hours on Thursday.
The Volvo bus with 52 people on board had left Bangalore last night and the mishap occurred near Kunimelli bridge, about 14km from Haveri,
The tragedy comes two weeks after 45 people had died when a Volvo bus from Bangalore to Hyderabad had caught fire after hitting the median on the national highway in Mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh
The bodies of the victims are yet to be identified, Haveri SP Shashi Kumar said
"The mishap took place around 2.45 a.m. when the luxury bus of Volvo make from Bangalore to Mumbai hit the railing of a bridge at high-speed and caught fire as its fuel tanker leaked," He added.There were 43 men and six women among the passengers.
"The bus driver is absconding while its cleaner is injured and is in the local hospital at Haveri," Kumar added.
Many passengers managed to escape by breaking the emergency exit window and jumping from the burning bus.
