OnePlus Smartphones to be manufactured in AP

OnePlus, a Chinese smart phone maker which has become quite popular with its flagship killers such OnePlus One & OnePlus Two, is all set to manufacture its handsets in Andhra Pradesh very soon.
OnePlus Founder, CEO Pete Lau announced that his Company entered into a partnership with Foxconn to manufacture smartphones at the Rising Stars factory in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. He informs 5 lakh handsets will be manufactured per month in India and the first batch of smartphones produced in India will hit the market by the end of 2015.
OnePlus sees India as one of their biggest markets and have many long-term plans to expand its reach. The firm has been now gradually shifting from invite-only model to open-sales model.
One of the advantages of local-make is sharp fall in prices and creating of employment opportunities to thousands of full time workers.
