Operation Akarsh - A Big Headache for KCR!

Ruling Parties have been using 'Operation Akarsh' to weaken the Opposition. TRS Government launched this operation with the goal of playing the roles of both Ruling Party & Opposition. It did succeed in attracting a lot of Opposition MLAs in the past three-and-a-half years. But now, This mission has become a big headache for TRS Leadership.

Sitting MLAs will switch loyalties to other parties if they were denied tickets. At the same time, TRS Leaders who faced defeat in 2014 polls and those who joined Ruling Party till now aspire for either MLA or MP ticket. Delaying the delimitation of Assembly Constituencies by the Centre has complicated the situation. There is heavy competition for party ticket in at least 30 segments.

Speaker Madhusudana Chary's case is a perfect example. TDP in-charge Gandra Satyanarayana who contested against Madhusudana Chary from Bhupalapally in 2014 Polls lost by 7,583 votes. With an assurance on party ticket in next elections, He joined TRS recently. Does that mean Telangana Speaker should be ready for sacrifice?
