Opposition Parties Big Plan To Counter BJP!
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 July 2022 1:41 PM GMTThe saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party played a big mind game by fielding Draupadi Murmu as the Presidential candidate. The BJP has hit two targets by gating the good marks of giving a chance to an ST candidate and forcing the opposition parties to vote for her.
The parties like Shiv Sena and Samajwadi party which don't like BJP also expected to vote for Murmu as the leaders are demanding the leadership to vote for her given the community she hails from. This is where BJP has succeeded.
As the BJP shocked the opposition parties, it was the turn of the opposition parties to give it back to the saffron party. The opposition parties which wanted to trouble the Union government made a big step in this regard.
The BJP is facing criticism for ignoring the southern states and Venkaiah Naidu not getting nominated as the President added fuel to the alleged anti-south of the saffron party and the opposition parties wanted to bank on the same.
For the same, the opposition parties have announced former Governor Margaret Alva as the Vice President candidate and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar announced the same while speaking to the media. She is a veteran Congresswoman who once served as the Cabinet Minister.
Born and brought up in Bangalore, Margaret Alva joined the grand old Congress party as her in-laws are closely associated with the Congress party and even represented Congress in the Parliament.
