First Suicide on OU Campus in Telangana State

Eramaina Murali who is the first year PG Student at Osmania University committed suicide in the Maneru Hostel on the campus Yesterday. This is the first suicide at OU after the formation of Telangana State.
The suicide happened just a day before Telangana JAC planned 'Koluvulaki Kotlata', a rally in protest against government's failure in creating jobs. OU Students alleged Murali was depressed and killed self over the failure of TRS Government in releasing job notifications. They demanded action against the University Officials.
Even the timing of the suicide created a sensation. Murali took the extreme step on the same day Srikanth Chary immolated himself on the OU Campus in 2009 for Telangana statehood.
In the suicide note, Murali claimed he is hanging himself due to the exam stress. He even apologized to his Mother for letting her down.
