Padma Shri Mogulaiah's kind-heartedness, gifts clothes to beggar
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 March 2022 4:28 AM GMTFew months ago, he was a pauper. His rare art was ignored, neglected and rejected. He stuck to his art, but got not even a rupee to sustain. When his wife died, he did not even have a rupee to spend for her last rites. He had literally begged to perform the last rites of his beloved life partner.
But the very same poor artiste - Darshanam Mogulaiah-is a celebrity today. His one song in Pawan Kalyan-starrer Bhimla Nayak is a sensation now. He got Padma Shri for his contribution in the Kinnera Veena art. He was awarded by no less a person than the president of the country. Even today, he prefers to live in the slum in BVN Reddy Nagar Colony near Saidabad.
Though poor, Mogulaiah has shown that he is large-hearted. Despite the paucity of finances, the other day, he offered new clothes to a mentally-challenged beggar wandering in the streets of his home town of Achampet in the former Mahabubnagar district. He offered clothes to the beggar. When he did not know how to wear it, Mogulaiah got down onto his knees and made the beggar wear the clothes.
Mogulaiah's large-heartedness and love for humanity was clicked by a bystander on his mobile. The image has now gone viral on social media. The netizens are praising Mogulaiah's gesture of kindness and humanitarianism. Mogulaiah's story tells that one need not be rich. He who gives is the real rich man.
