Pak Player Vs Indian Player on Kashmir Yasin Malik!
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 May 2022 6:21 AM GMTIt's been more than seven long decades since India and Pakistan were divided putting an end to the British ruling in combined India. Despite parting ways, issues between the nations were not settled and at regular intervals, the issues add intensity. The same issues made cricket between the two nations not less than a war.
The politicians and former cricketers often try to poke their noses into issues that are related to India. The sensitive topic of Kashmir sees personalities from our neighbor nation giving their responses leading to controversies.
As India and Pakistan were divided, the Kashmir conflict popped up. As Pakistan was carved out of India, it said that Kashmir belongs to them and Pakistan says that Kashmir valley belongs to them due to the bifurcation. The conflict has been going on for ages and as a result, both nations fought intense wars.
On many occasions, Pakistan politicians and cricketers openly said that Kashmir belongs to them and they are with Kashmir. Former Pakistan captain and player Shahid Afridi who never misses an opportunity to show his love for Kashmir and Kashmir conflict has done it yet again.
It is known that Kashmiri separatist leader and former militant Yasin Malik was slapped with a lifetime jail term by a court after he pleaded guilty to his charges. While India is celebrating the news, Shahid Afridi found fault with what happened.
In his tweet, Shahid Afridi said that India is continuing its efforts to silence the critics who raise their voices against human rights abuses. Having said that, Afridi said, the charges that are fabricated against Yasin Malik cannot pause the struggle to get freedom for Kashmir.
"India's continued attempts to silence critical voices against its blatant human right abuses are futile. Fabricated charges against #YasinMalik will not put a hold to #Kashmir's struggle to freedom. Urging the #UN to take notice of unfair & illegal trails against Kashmir leaders," Afridi tweeted.
Indian cricketer Amit Mishra hit back at Afridi and schooled him on the issue. Mishra said that Malik pleaded guilty to the charges on record. "Dear @safridiofficial he himself has pleaded guilty in court on the record. Not everything is misleading like your birthdate," he tweeted.
