Minister's Blunder makes CBN angry

United AP Government decided to go for land acquisition for the construction of Machilipatnam Port. While Congress Govt led by YSR proposed acquisition of nearly 10,000 acres, Kiran Kumar Reddy brought it down to 6,000 to 7,000 acres following the protests.
Recently, AP Cabinet approved the proposal of acquiring 22,000 acres of land for Machilipatnam port. While sharing the details to media persons, Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy stunned everyone by declaring Government will acquire 1.05 lakhs of acres for the port. People are clueless over the necessity acquire such a vast land for a single port, when a world-class Capital is being constructed with just 33,000 acres.
Actually, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu constituted Machilipatnam Urban Development Board alike CRDA in Amaravati and 1.05 lakh acres will come under it. The Minister, however, made a wrong announcement that 1.05 lakh acres would be acquired. To rectify the error, Press Release have been issued by the State Government. It is learnt that Chief Minister took this matter seriously and brain washed Minister Palle for the blunder.
