With A Spike Of 1657 New Infections, Total Cases In Andhra Pradesh Mounted To 852955

In the last 24 hours, 1,657 people have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. The new addition of infections pushes the total caseload to 8,52,955. Compared to yesterday, the fresh cases witnessed a sharp rise.
With seven patients breathing their last battling the respiratory disease in the past 24 hours, the total casualties in connection with the pandemic in the state mounted to 6,854
Coming to the recoveries, as many as 2,155 patients were cured of the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 826344. This translates to nearly 90 percent. The active cases stood at 19757.
The health bulletin issued by the health department stated that as of now, a total of 9101048 samples have been tested, while as many as 79823 samples were tested on Friday alone.
East Godavari, the worst-affected region in the stare reported the highest number of cases in the past 24 hours with 252, followed by West Godavari(249), Krishna(225), and Guntur(194).
