Pandemic Continues To Ring Danger Bells In India

India reported the highest spike in single-day cases with 28,498, taking the toll of the total cases in the country to 906752. With 553 fresh casualties, the total fatalities in the country mounted to 23,727.
On the other hand, in the past 24 hours, 17,989 patients managed to recover from the virus and discharged from the hospitals accordingly. With the new addition, the total recoveries zoomed to 5,71,459.
The recovery rate, which is improving gradually, currently stood at 63.02%. The active case count is 3,11,565.
Though the recovery rate is giving hope and positive insight, the growth of positive infections is what fears everyone. If the fresh infections continue to surge at the same phase, the coming days will be worse than ever.
Looking at the state-wise fatalities of the virus, Maharashtra tops the list with 10,482 fatalities. National Capital Delhi(3,411), Gujarat(2055), and Tamil Nadu(2032) are in the next place.
As per the data collected by the famous Johns Hopkins University. globally as many as over 1.3 crore people were infected with the contagious disease, while 5.7 lakh people succumbed to the dreaded virus.
