In a shocking development, Ahobilam Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple was closed for devotees following one of the priests of the temple tested positive for the contagious disease.
However, the authorities of the holy shrine are yet to take a call on when to reopen the famous temple. The authorities said that the rituals in the temple will go on as usual.
The authorities have been spraying the disinfect liquid in the Temple premises as a safety measure and they are also tracking the details of people who might have come in contact with the priest.
Earlier, Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati was closed for two days after a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) employee getting infected with the virus.
