Pandemic Dairies: Organisers Suspend 2020 Edition Of Ballon d'Or

Going into detail, the annual award ceremony Ballon d'Or, which is awarded to the best football player in the world has been scrapped for this year,i.e 2020 as the prevailing conditions forced to suspend the ceremony.
Organizers of the Ballon d'Or, France Football issued an official statement about the suspension of the award ceremony. In the statement, the organizers said, the ongoing pandemic forced them to make the tough call.
In the glorious history of 64 years, this is the first time the ceremony was suspended. The award ceremony was started in the year 1956. The jury which picks up the best plates consists of 180 panel members.
The organizers added that they are looking forward to the 2021 edition of the Ballon d'Or as the chances of resuming the football matches in this year are very thin.
Argentine professional footballer Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini, aka Lionel Messi is the only player with more number of Ballon d'Or awards with six titles, followed by Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo with five awards.
