Paresh Rawal Appointed As Chief Of National School Of Drama

Veteran actor and politician Paresh Rawal on Thursday appointed as chairperson of the National School of Drama (NSD). The post had been vacant since 2017.
"Renowned artiste Paresh Rawal has been appointed as Chairman of National School of Drama by Rashtrapati Bhavan. I am glad that students and artistes will be able to take advantage of his talent. I congratulate him," Union Culture Minister Prahlad Patel said on Twitter.
Rawal has been appointed to the post for four years. Besides his long and successful film career, he is a veteran of the Gujarati stage in addition.
"It will be challenging but fun. I will do my best because this is a field I know very well," Rawal said.
Paresh Rawal is a familiar face to Telugu audience as he acting in some good films like Shankar Dada MBBS. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri.
