Huzurabad:parties Spending Money Like Water To Buy Votes

It's an open secret that political parties spend huge money to attract voters. Sometimes the political outfits give costly gifts like cricket bats, and others and sometimes they directly give money to the voters. There are instances where parties gave thousands per vote for the voters.
If the election gets prestigious for the parties, then the amount per vote goes up. The upcoming Huzuarbad by-poll is said to be emerging as the most costly election the state had ever witnessed, with the parties taking the by-poll prestigiously and putting in the best effort to see that they win the elections.
What we hear from the media reports is that the political parties are spending money like water in the by-poll to attract the voters and the outfits are reportedly saying yes to what the voters are asking to vote for them. The information is that currently, the cost of a single vote in the constituency is around Rs 10,000-15,000. The amount is the highest for a single vote by far.
We haven't heard about such a big amount spent by parties for votes even in the general elections and MP elections. A by-poll seeing such a big amount being spent might be the first time not only in the state but in the entire country. The scene was not the same in the previous by-elections, Dubbaka and Nagarjuna Sagar.
In Dubbaka and Nagarjuna Sagar by-elections too the parties have campaigned vigorously but they didn't spend this much money for the elections. It has been widely reported that the parties are showing interest to pay Rs 3 lakh for families that have more than ten members. This loosely translates to Rs 30k per vote which is quite high.
The Huzurabad by-election became inevitable after former TRS leader Etela Rajender quit the party and resigned from his MLA post. After his fallout with the party, he joined the Telangana wing of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). He is the BJP candidate for the party.
As Huzurabad is the sitting position for ruling TRS, the party wants to win the by-poll and the BJP wants to win the election to spread its wings in Telangana.
