Pat On Journalist Cheek: Governor Apologises!

Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit invited criticism by patting on the cheek of a woman journalist by name Lakshmi Subramanian at a press conference. This incident happened in Raj Bhavan Yesterday when a Journalist asked a query while he was leaving the press meet.
The Chennai Press Club sought an apology from Governor saying a constitution head has to set an example with his actions and comments. A statement has been issued to convey Governor's behaviour was neither exemplary nor condonable.
Following the outrage, Mr.Banwarilal Purohit issued a letter to Journalist clarifying he had patted on her cheek in appreciation for the question she raised. He claims to have considered her like his Granddaughter and has done so out of affection while appreciating her work as a Journalist. Governor claimed he was a member of Journalism for 40 years. At last, He tendered his apology to end the issue.
Lakshmi Subramanian accepted the apology issued by Governor but made it clear she wasn't convinced about his contention.
