Pawan begins secret survey to identify Jana Sena candidates

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, it appears, is quite serious about the 2024 elections. He wants to put up candidates for all the assembly constituencies in the state. So, has begun the process of choosing the candidates. If sources are to be believed, Pawan Kalyan has already requisitioned the services of a corporate public opinion survey company.
In the last assembly elections, the candidates were chosen by a screening committee formed under the leadership of former speaker and Jana Sena senior leader Nadendla Manohar. But this time around, he has decided to delegate this task to a survey organization. The organization has already begun surveying in all the 13 districts of the State.
Sources say that Pawan has asked for extreme secrecy during the survey. He felt that the survey could be influenced by the candidates in the event of their knowing who the survey agents were. Some Jana Sena leaders feel that such surveys may not be able to pin-pointedly understand the mood of the voters and the popularity of the contenders.
They feel that the agency might depend on the social media presence of the candidates more than the ground situation. Hence they feel that such methods of identifying the candidates may actually prove to be counterproductive.
