M Kiran Kumar is one of the 24-Engineering (VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute) students who got washed away due to the strong currents of Beas river in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh. This guy's inspiring act made him a hero overnight!
Eyewitness say, Kiran Kumar noticed the rise of water level and immediately alerted his friends. He helped four of his friends reach the safe place. By the time he was about to reach the dry land, The rock on which he was standing couldn't withstand the force with which the water has been flowing and he was washed away.
Kiran Kumar's Father Venkatarama believes his son would some how reach the shores as he is a good swimmer.
Notably, Kiran Kumar is a big fan of Pawan Kalyan and he is a movie buff. Good to see, The Youngster choosing the actor-turned-politician as a role model and saved the lives of four of his friends. Keep praying so that he survives!
6 PM: 65 Students reached Shalanala in Two Buses.
6.15 PM: Project gates opened, 50 cumecs of water released.
6:25 PM: Water level rises suddenly, washed away 24 students and their team leader.
6:45 PM: 100 cumecs of more water released
8 PM: Search operation began.
