Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan spoke to National channels such as CNN News 18 and ANI regarding the Special Status. Here are the Q&As...

CNN News 18:

Special Status: 'There is immense angst among people. It's about self respect. They have denied what has been promised to Andhra Pradesh. I will definitely take the movement forward but we aren't in a hurry…we will take constructive measure first, consolidate our support and then we will go ahead'.

Special Package: 'TDP Government has compromised with Centre. BJP can't change their promise according to their convenience. Modi should communicate to people why Special Status can't be accorded to AP. It hurting people when they say Special Package is equivalent or better than Special Status'.

North Vs South: 'It's not a divide between people but a divide between political heads. If BJP is pro-Small States, How come Uttar Pradesh wasn't bifurcated and why not Vidharba was made into a separate state? Why just AP & Telangana? Delhi Heads want to control rest of India by having majority in UP. People are rebelling against it'.

Future Coarse of Action: 'The sentiment is strong. Each party is playing their part and we will see how it goes as time passes by'.

Political Clash with TDP-BJP Combine: 'Eventually, It will and it has to because common agenda of political parties is to serve their people'.

ANI:

Special Status: 'Centre promised Special Status at the time of bifurcation. Then PM Manmohan Singh gave an assurance in Parliament. BJP promised to increase the term to 10 years. Venkaiah Naidu said in Rajya Sabha that BJP would grant Status for 10 years. After coming to power, They conveniently forgot it. Finally, They have announced Special Package midnight. Where is need for Centre to make that announcement almost close to midnight? Which means, There is some injustice happening. I had spoken to senior IAS Officers and Planning Commission members. Finally, I came to know that Centre didn't treat AP like a special case but offered what was done to any other state by changing the name to Special Package. They are forcing us to believe what they have done is right but people aren't ready to trust them'.
