Pawan Kalyan spoke about the pressure from party leaders and activists to contest in the upcoming Municipal Polls during his recent press meet. Chances were high that he would field candidates in Visakha Corporation's GVMC Polls.
In the wake of backtracking on Special Category Status, Jana Sena willn't form an alliance with either TDP or BJP in any of the polls. There is a possibility of teaming up with Left Parties.
Sources say, Pawan Kalyan is going to test waters before the 2019 General Elections. He believes contesting in Municipal Polls will be a test for party's strength at grassroots level. He is of the view that people's pulse could be known if forayed into electoral politics.
GVMC Polls could be Pawan Kalyan's first target. Pawan Kalyan enjoys a strong fan base in Visakha. Jana Sena Activists has been very active in this part of the state. So, This move will have a negative impact on the poll prospects of TDP-BJP combine.
