Pawan keeps carrot of alliance dangling before Chandrababu
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 March 2022 4:56 AM GMTThe political pundits of AP are now dissecting the statement of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on fighting the ruling YSRCP in the 2014 elections. Addressing the massive gathering that got up at Ippatam in Guntur district on the occasion of the party's foundation day, Pawan Kalyan cryptically said that he would not allow the split among the anti-YSRCP vote.
At the same time, he clarified that he would take a decision on entering into alliance with other parties at the time of the elections. Thus he has also indicated that there would be no immediate poll pacts and that they would happen at the right time. He said the he would keep in mind the future of the state while entering into alliances.
He has indirectly hinted that he would join hands with the TDP in the 2022 elections. Though he did not mention the name of the TDP, it is clear that he would never join hands with the YsRCP and he is already in alliance with the BJP. The only party with which he can newly enter into an alliance is the TDP. Without taking the TDP's name, he has sufficiently indicated that he is all set to join hands with the TDP.
Interestingly, it was the TDP which alienated the Jana Sena and the BJP while it was in power. It cut off its relations with the BJP on the issue of special status and distanced the Jana Sena due to the overconfidence that Kapus would stay with him. Chandrababu paid a heavy price for this decision and lost power in 2019.
