People's Reaction On Disha Case Accused Encounter
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Dec 2019 8:47 AM GMTAll four people accused in the rape and murder of woman veterinarian in Telangana have been killed in an encounter with the police. According to media reports, while cops are trying to reconstruct the scene at Shadnagar, the four accused had reportedly tried to escape and police had fired at the culprits at NH-44. All the four accused have reportedly died. Mohammad Areef Pasha, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen Kumar and Chintakunta Chenna Keshavulu were the four culprits.
the sister of the Hyderabad vet who was raped and murdered on November 28 says, "I am happy the four accused have been killed in an encounter. This incident will set an example. I thank the police and media for their support." The woman's father, too, thanks Telangana police. "Her soul will rest in peace now," he says.
Aisha's mother said special laws should be put in place to stop rapes. She claimed that Ayesha was not given justice due to political interference, even in the Nirbhaya case, there is no justice yet. If an officer like Sajjanar takes up Ayesha's case then the justice would have been served.
NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma on Friday said though the women rights body wanted death penalty for the accused, it should have come through proper judicial channel.
BJP leader Kapil Mishra said this was the "correct" way to deal with the rapists and hoped other states would take cue from them."This is the way to deal with rapists," Mishra said, adding, "Hope police of other states will learn from you."
This is the second such encounter in Telangana, where the accused of a crime against women, have been shot dead while allegedly trying to escape from police custody. In December 2008, three accused of the acid attack were killed by Warangal Police when they tried to attack the cops at the crime scene. V C Sajjanar, the present Police Commissioner of Cyberabad was SP of Warangal at that time.
