Russia, which announced the Sputnik V vaccine candidate as a potential vaccine to cure the pandemic has offered the vaccines for the public. The vaccination program was started on Tuesday across Russia.
However, the alcohol drinkers in Russia faced a severe shock after the officials advised them to not take alcohol for two months after taking the Sputnik V vaccine candidate.
Officials said that people should take extra precautions during the 42 days, so that the vaccine candidate works effectively without any side effects, reports claimed.

The Deputy PM went on to say Russians should not visit the crowded places and refrain from taking alcohol and other drugs. wearing face masks and using sanitisers should be made a regular habit.
Asking the people to stop drinking alcohol could be a huge task for Russia as the nation is the fourth-largest liquor consumer in the world. Reports say, on average, Russian drinks not less than 15.1 litres of liquor per annum.
