People Wanted Nupur Sharma From Apology, What About Others?

Former BJP leader Nupur Sharma is a popular name in the country right now. After her comments on Prophet Mohammad went viral she was suspended from the party and the Arab nations lashed out at the BJP for inaction against her. Due to the pressure, she was sacked from the party.
In the middle of the issue, Nupur Sharma found big support in a strong leader from Maharashtra who never shies away from raising his voice for the Hindu beliefs. Drawing a comparison between others who made objectionable comments against Hindu goods, he asked what about them and why no one talks about them.
Raj Thackeray, chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena supported Nupur Sharma in this controversy. In his recent interview, he wondered why everyone asked Nupur Sharma to issue an apology when others also passed such comments.
Without mincing his words, he mentioned the names of Islamic televangelist Zakir Naik and AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi. Talking about the incidents where the duo passed objectionable comments, Thackeray asked why no one asked them for an apology.
Those who support Nupur Sharma have the same complaint. They ask why others got away without any punishment when they made the comments. It has to be mentioned here that, AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi made objectionable comments on Hindu gods. However, the case was dropped after many years as the cops could not get the evidence.
Now Thackeray also said the same. He asked why no one talks about others in such issues. "Everyone had asked her to apologize. But what Nupur Sharma had said, Zakir Naik had also said the same thing earlier. No one had demanded an apology from Naik," Raj Thackeray said speaking to the media.
