PIL moved to expel FOUR AP Ministers
X
As many as Four YSR Congress MLAs have been inducted into AP CM Chandrababu Naidu's Council of Ministers during the recent cabinet expansion. Bhuma Akhila Priya, Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao, Adinarayana Reddy and Amarnath Reddy are the luckiest among 20-plus YCP Legislators who shifted loyalties to the Ruling Party.

Thangella Siva Prasad, a Journalist, moved a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in High Court against the induction of YSRC MLAs into TDP Cabinet. He alleged TDP Government has made a mockery of Indian Constitution with such an unacceptable practice. He questioned, 'What qualification does the Four MLAs have to become Ministers? While the Constitution recommends expulsion of Lawmakers who shift parties, Defector MLAs have been continuing as Ministers now'.

The Journalist found fault with Governor ESL Narasimhan for carrying out the swearing-in ceremony of YCP MLAs as TDP Ministers. He told all the four Ministers can't continue in their posts if anti-defection law is implemented properly. He urged the Court to prevent the four MLAs from using their power as Ministers until the final judgement is delivered on the PIL.
