PIL In Hight Court Against Pragathi Nivedana
X
Telangana CM KCR decided to unveil the report card on four years TRS rule during the Pragathi Nivedana Sabha on September 2nd. He planned to mobilize as many as 25 lakh people for the massive public meeting ahead of Early Polls. As per unofficial estimates, Expenditure of the meeting could be over Rs 100 crore.

A Public Interest Litigation has been moved in the High Court against Pragathi Nivedana Sabha finding fault with the manner in which permissions have been granted for the meeting. Environmental Protection Agency Chief Pujari Sridhar demanded withdrawal of the permission granted for the massive meeting. Telangana Chief Secretary, DGP, Ranga Reddy Collector and TRS Chief Secretary were named in the petition.

The Petitioner opined Telangana Government should prefer an alternative instead of mobilizing 25 lakh people by spending Rs 200 crore. He complained 1,600 acres have been used for the public meeting by destroying trees. He pointed out the discomfort for public if 1 lakh vehicle are used for mobilizing TRS Supporters.

High Court accepted the PIL and hearing will take place Today. What will KCR do if High Court disapproves the massive public meeting?
