The Amaravati farmers in Andhra Pradesh gave their lands to the previous Telugu Desam Party for the sake of capital as the state was divided without proper capital. If the Telugu Desam Party had won the general elections the situation would have been different. But YCP came to power and changed the situation at once.
Not happy with the three capitals idea proposed by the YCP, the Amaravati farmers have been fighting for the demand. After a sensational yatra, the farmers are now busy with the second yatra from Amaravati to Arasavilli. The ongoing yatra would last for 61 days.
From day one of the yatra, the farmers are facing problems as no permission was given and recently the farmers were reportedly attacked as bottles were thrown at the farmers. No matter what the farmers are not taking a back step and continuing with the yatra.
Now a picture from the yatra is doing rounds which shows a pregnant lady walking with her daughter holding the Amaravati flag in hand. As she was wearing the Amaravati shawl she is assumed as a supporter of the padayatra.
She is carrying and despite this, she is not stopping the yatra and going ahead slowly. The picture sent a strong message that the yatra is not for the capital city alone and it is for the future of the next generation too.
If the capital city comes the whole city would get benefited as Amavarti is not for the locals, but the whole state. Though the YCP leaders are trying hard to say that Amarati would benefit only one community, the picture says the yatra is for future generations.
