Plane with 118 People on board hijacked

Afriqiyah Airways A320 with 118 on board was hijacked and diverted to Malta. Two Hijackers claims they have hand grenades and threatens to blow up the plane. The aircraft landed in Malta at 11.32 am.
Out of 111 Passengers, There are 82 Men, 28 Women and an Infant. All the passengers are believed to be Libyan Nationals. Seven Crew Members are on board the hijacked aircraft.
Usually, Afriqiyah Airways operates flights from Sebha to Tripoli on Friday. While the take off will be at 10.10 am, Arrival is at 11.20 am.
After high-drama at Malta International Airport, Around 65 Passengers have been released by the hijackers. The hijackers who belong to the pro-Gaddafi group Al Fatah AI Gadida conveyed they will set all the passengers and crew members free if their demands were met. However, They were yet to disclose their demands. Libyan Officials suspect it could be an act of terrorism or reflection of political feud in the country.
