PM, CM On Same Page In Fight Against Corona
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 April 2020 7:00 AM GMTThat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister KCR are on the same page on Corona control has been proved once again. A day before, while announcing the extension of lockdown in Telangana, KCR said the first priority is to save lives. Economy can wait, he told the media. A day later, while addressing the nation on Tuesday, Modi not just echoed similar sentiments, but has even used the same words.
Interestingly, both are hugely popular and have won landslides in their respective realms. Not just that, they are decisive leaders and to top it, are excellent communicators. They speak in very calibrated manner and ensure that the points that they want to communicate sink into the minds of the people. Look at the way Modi structured his national address on Tuesday. He told people why Lockdown was essential and how it has yielded positive results. Then he told about the extension till May 3. He spoke about the hotspots and then, he gave the seven key points to follow in corona control.
Clearly, both the leaders have lot of commonalities and speak almost the same. Is this a precursor to a larger political strategy where both can come together at the Central level?
